history and our fundraising efforts. Our guest speaker for the meeting was
Inez Dickens who gave a very inspirational talk about cervical cancer, it's
warning signs and tried to dispel the myth of cervical cancer being called
the silent killer. She spoke of the importance of recognizing early signs
and seeking medical attention immediately. Inez also recounted her own battle
with breast cancer. As a seven year survivor, Inez was an inspiration to
everyone in attendance. The "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walk
was discussed. Anyone interested in walking will meet on Saturday, October
20th at 10:00 AM at the Catskill Middle School parking lot, creek side,
for registration. The walk will begin at 11:00 AM. Sue Buno is the Chairperson

fundraising event. Amy von Scholz is developing a list of wineries to contact
and has spoken to several local farms to include a farm market with the
event. Plans for the twelfth annual Festival of Trees are in full swing.
